David Elfring, Architect, can offer the custom home client full architectural services with a specialty in rural, mountain and large acreage sites. Services can begin with advice on site selection. The architect will then provide design sketches, construction drawings and specifications. He will assist in bidding and selecting a quality contractor, and will see the project through the process of construction.

Fees will be determined and fixed prior to starting the design. They are based on the size and complexity of the building. Architectural fees and expenses will add from 3% to 5% to hard construction costs of your new home, depending upon size and complexity.

DAVID ELFRING ARCHITECT A registered architect in Colorado, David Elfring began his practice in 1978. Emphasis is on the design of custom homes with a specialty in rural sites, often in Colorado rustic, Tuscan, and southwestern styles. Designs were built in the 1987 and 1988 "Street of Dreams" home shows with a Santa Fe style home chosen "Best of Show" in 1987 at Lone Tree. His work has been featured in Colorado Homes and Lifestyles Magazine. Two of his homes have been filmed for HGTV's "Dream Builders" television program.

David Elfring began his career designing passive solar homes. He received awards in cycles 4 and 5 of the HUD Passive Solar Design Competitions. One solar home was featured on PBS's "A HOUSE FOR ALL SEASONS" TV program. Mr. Elfring graduated from the Syracuse University School of Architecture in 1975 and included one year at the Architectural Association in London, England as part of his studies. He then served as a Vista Volunteer in Denver.

David Elfring, Architect, works as a sole proprietor out of Castle Rock, Colorado, just south of Denver. He designs projects throughout the state and frequently works with clients living in other parts of the country and planning a home in Colorado.
